Mike Malloy's Anti-Obama Rant

Paul Peete at HuffPo wrote the following about some comments that Mike Malloy made on his radio show...

"The first traitor to the Democratic Presidential nominee with a national microphone made his move to support McCain and urge others to do so. On his radio show , billed as "Speaking Truth to Power," Mike Malloy abandoned all progressive logic as he spent his entire show in a rant against Barack Obama to the amazement of listeners and those who have heard him push for Obama's election. Citing Obama's vote in favor of the FISA law and change of heart on allowing off-shore drilling, Malloy said that Obama would not be able to bring about the change that he has championed and that those who follow him through eight years of failure will allow the Republican fascism to point to that failure as evidence that the government the Republicans have put in place by the Bush/Cheney cannot be undone.

To satisfy his predominantly progressive audience's need to have him not completely go GOP, Malloy stated that he wants Americans to elect a Democratic Congress so that they can have a veto proof majority for, in his reasoning, the President does not pass laws and does not declare wars. So where has he been burying his head while Bush/Cheney set in motion all of the predicates for the current energy gouging and war on a nation that neither attacked us, nor had the capability of doing so.
I never heard of Paul Peete, but I know Mike Malloy, and he is no "traitor" to progressive or liberal causes. His comments about Obama are NOT being correctly interpreted by Peete -- I assume deliberately or as a consequence of his lack of mental acuity.
Read the Article at HuffingtonPost

Malloy is simply taking the long view -- something that the justifiably disillusioned yet over-excited liberal dreamers seem incapable of doing. Obama will fail, and he will fail on many levels, this is his intended role in the great American political psycho-drama as written by the oligarchy.

When I say fail, I mean fail in the sense that he will NOT bring about change, there is no "hope", in fact, I have not heard him say anything that makes me think that there will be change -- nor has he said anything that would give me "hope" -- unless you consider his promises to support Israel unconditionally and to bomb Iran and Pakistan unless they bend to his will, hopeful.

Americans are being suckered again. Obama will change nothing, the depth, breadth and extent of the problems facing America, exceed his capacity to correct, even if we accept the dubious premise that he actually wants to.

Electing McSame with a Dem majority in the House and Senate -- as Mike Malloy suggests, is in fact the best way forward; it's the long view, it's the smart approach -- it is not "traitorous" Mr. Peete, have you even listened to single hour of Mike Malloy's show?

Hi Gary,
Let me answer your last question first. Yes, I've listened to Mike Malloy, often. I know he is a provocateur and progressive minded host. I listened when he railed against Obama as caving on FISA and agreed with him.

Why I call him a traitor is in the acceptance of an ultra-rightist as McCain has morphed into with the neocon powerbase supporting him.

Regardless of what you or Mike say, we need BOTH the Executive and Legislative branches on the same page to address the treachery the Bush years have created.

Until the Supreme Court is brought back to the center, impossible in a McCain Admin., little hope for substantive change in the judicial branch can occur. Get real Gary, and get off your butt and support OBAMA!

Obama's presidency will no more address the "treachery" and crimes of the Bush years anymore than Clinton's administration will address the "treachery" and crimes of the Reagan years. You're deluding yourself Pete if you believe so.

If the Dems are the majority in both houses, and they do the job they were elected for, they simply won't appoint any more right wingers. What do you need Obama for? But you know that they will, because they are complicit. In your heart Mr. Peete, you must know this. Just look at their approval ratings. If Congress was actually working for the people, the people would notice and support them, but they aren't and they don't.

If Obama is such a paragon, why does he keep talking about attacking Pakistan to "kill" one man? Doesn't that sound a little stupid and reckless to you?

If I had a choice between Obama and McCain, I would pick Obama, but only because there is a small chance that he will throw off the shackles of his masters and do the right thing. It's a very small chance and would get him killed, but it is possible. McCain on the other hand will reliably annihilate anyone, anywhere, anytime. Bomb there and bomb now!

I completely agree, I think Peete is just being like everyone else on Huffington Post and many other leftist blogs in America, sucking democratic cock and getting the cum to blind them of their bullshit.

I'd agree, but it's a very very small chance, so this year, I'll be voting third party, I'm in a safe state anyway, so I might as well help them with a possible 5% run, which would get them federal funds.

Do you know which specific Malloy show this anti Obama rant was on? I'd like to listen to it.

I will also add, I don't think a real progressive candidate would get "killed" in office, though I agree that is a chance, but with the technology that the secret service has nowadays, I seriously doubt we will see another president assassinated. Of course you could say the secret service would be "in" on it, but I don't buy into conspiracy theories.

America's Media Traitors

What America needs now is a full-scale Media Retrospective of those fabled World War II broadcasts by Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose. We should listen once again to those terrific "Entertainers" getting their message across during World War II -- with lovely music, pop songs, sweet talk, jokes -- all the while saying anything and everything they possibly could to undermine America's war effort. Nothing could be more timely today than to have all of America listen once again to those nostalgic broadcasts.

Then we will be able to see and understand exactly what Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, and their ilk, are doing today. These Right-Wing broadcasters are today's traitors just as surely as Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose were back then. They are using their broadcasts to undermine and undercut President Obama's efforts to save our economy from Conservative destruction and to protect our country from Afghanistan-based terrorists.

When these Right-Wing kangaroos refer to President Obama as a "Socialist", or as "Comrade Brezhnev", or as "Comrade Stalin", or as a "Bolshevik", they are undermining America just as surely as those other traitors did during World War II.

Ya, so how's The One workin' out for ya? Let's see...is Gitmo closed yet? Oh, is that pesky little war going on still? Oh, right...the troops are out, right? And Afghanistan a memory. And Gitmo closed I take it? And "single payer's" in? And illegal detention...the new and improved model...how's that goin'?

As to Malloy - ya, he ranted. And then nicely transformed into a bot. And lo and behold, now there's a video up on his blog..."Why I'm Angry at Obama" and no, "truthseekers," not because he SHOULD have been angry from the start when this fraud was put in front of us but NOW because I guess he just noticed the Messiah's true stripes.

A bot is a bot is a bot but it sure makes one wonder just what truth is it that Malloy serves.

@ Mary

You're right, Mike was drinking the Obama kool-aide for a while. Yet, I think he was always conflicted about Obama. But he wanted to believe, he needed to believe. We all need hope. Mike immerses himself in death and hate and worse, American politics every day; so maybe he needed some "hope" more than most of us.

I believed myself for a while. Mike is at his best when in opposition and we need people like him more than ever as the shadows grow all around us. Let's celebrate Mike's awakening instead of condemning his slumber.

Ordinarily, I'd be prown to wish to celebrate as well. He's demonstrated a pattern of flip flops here and I have a real problem with trust now (not that he care..lol) I certainly am pleased if he continues to demonstrate "truthiness" though but personally, he's lost my overall trust. I think his wife had a great deal to do with getting him on board the obamabus and so did Nova M...I can't fault anyone for doing their master's job when it comes to maintaining employment, but, we all know how that turned out. Frankly, he lost a lot of listeners during this time who also happened to be founding members of NovaM - and it broke my heart as I'd truly considered him one of my heroes. Yet, once truth is compromised, I can never view (or listen) to said "hero" with the same degree of trust and respect. I do continue to wish him well.
